Baked Penne Pasta w/Hot Itailian Sausage

Tonight the menu is Baked Penne Pasta!

Baked Penne Pasta with spicy Italian sausage and cheese!!  I wanted lasagna tonight but did not want to run to the store so I hit the pantry.  Umm….penne?  Sounds good to me! So here is the way it went

1 lb penne pasta

1 package spicy Italian sausage (casings removed)

1/4 chopped onion

1/2 green bell pepper

1 Jar favorite pasta sauce

1 small container ricotta cheese (I chose non-fat)

2 cups shredded mozzerella cheese

1/3 cup Parmesan cheese

The sausage, onions and green peppers are browned and ready to add to the sauce

Mix the cheeses together  in bowl,  cook the  pasta el dente

Layer as you would lasagna.  A little sauce in the bottom of the dish then some pasta, sprinkle the cheese mixture and then do it one more.   Top with the rest of the sauce and the rest of the mozzarella cheese.  Bake @350 for about 45 min.  Take out and let sit for about 5 minutes.  Then Serve!
